Refrain from Cutting Yourselves

14 “You are children of the Lord your God. You must not lacerate yourselves or shave your foreheads on account of the dead, ² because you are a holy people to the Lord your God, and the Lord chose to make you his precious possession from among all the nations^[a] of the earth.”
